I didn't get an error, but KW2 just didn't start. I verified my game cache (files successfully validated) and tried to run it again, and lo and behold, Im now playing. Maybe try verifying your KW2 game cache?

Scratch that, I now get the runtime error - happens on start up, when it's loading the terrain textures, quits at loading Terrain_10. Im going to try changing the graphics settings

I didn't change a thing, re-ran the KW2 launcher, and now it has successfully opened to the main menu. Weird

We are aware of this issue and it is being worked on. Based on my own experiences, trying to start the game again usually fixes it, but today for the first time it took two failed attempts to open the game. I'm not sure what is causing the issue, but we realize it is a major impediment/giant-iron-wall-of-impregnability to game-play, and are putting full resources into finding a fix. I believe the devs can replicate it fairly easily, so I don't think log files are necessary.

I noted after starting the game again, there was a download of 0 bytes, and KW2 was listed as "ready to play". Maybe a sync issue?

Possibly, it does seem to happen each time one of the newer patches comes out, even updating the dev build.

I can confirm we are working on this, and will have a solution by week`s end. As of now - it only seems to happen once after the update though, and starting the game again fixes it.

now i cant play the game so thanks
Dev Konstantin  [developer] Jun 2, 2015 @ 8:19am
heroicbullseye, we might have a solution now. Please try this:

To fix this you would need to delete the Local Saved Data File
1) Click on the organizer button in any folder. And select Folder and Search options. Go to view, and under Hidden Files and Folders, or Drives - click show hidden files.
2) Now navigate to C:/users/YOUR USERNAME/AppData/local/KT/
3) In that file, locate and delete file called local_saved_data

Now if this still doesn`t work, I`ll need you to go to your Kingdom Wars installation. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kingdom Wars 2 Battles
Locate file Log1.txt, open it (windows text editor or any word editing program), and copy paste the last 20-30 lines, in your reply.
