What we should we work on for Update 1.9?
Dear Players,

With update 1.8 just couple of days away, we plan to get a jump start on update 1.9, and continue working on it without any interruptions.

If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestion as to what bugs/minor features we should work on in 1.9

Please check details on update 1.8 before posting your ideas, as 1.8 covers quite a bit of ground and your previous suggestions: http://steamcommunity.com/app/253190/discussions/0/360672383117487775/

Thanks for your feedback!

I can't wait to get back on my desktop and play Kingdom Wars again, especially now that 1.8 is out!

IMO update 1.9 should just have some animation work done. No more clunky animations for units, everything should look fluid and realistic.

Another thing I'd like to see for 1.9 or a future update is some more units, maybe even flying units that aren't dragons. I've always found the dragons rather interesting as they have the ability to fly, perhaps there could be a passive to fly, but the dragon has to land in order to attack units unless it's attacking another flying creature in the air (See Total War: Warhammer for example).

Anyway, that's only my two cents and thank you for taking my opinions into consideration :)

I dont know if i can post my request here again and if you make that in one of the followings Updates or not,
But i and my friends wanted a fourplayer zombiesurvival with up to 4 to 5 players when this is accomplishable. I hope that soo much that we can become this feature. Greetings Zero
maps and lots of em
Here some important things that the game needs:
- Improving AI should be a priority. Although the last improvements, it needs more enhancement. More AI personalities, better logic and more challenge on the hard difficulty.
- Make the game moddable.
- Script the Black Dragon: It's horrible in its state, it doesn't move and do nothing even if you fire arrows.
- More units, buildings, maps, skirmish options (i would like to set the amount of the resources)
- General improvements of the game's stability. The game is more smooth, but it needs still work on the lag, especially playing with AI
- Fix the gold smelting and stone refining (human economics tools upgrade)

More siege weapons :D
I don't know if this happened only to me, but I finished the last chapter of the first campaign. Then the game crashed, and when I restarted it, the last chapter was missing. It ain't funny this way. Any way to skip them?? I really want to start the next campaign.

Oh also, my units keep fighting the enemy, but they get no experience, and I think this is a major issue. The attacks could also be reworked, because some units don't even attack, even if ordered. Or they attack, but do no damage.

If you didn´t include it in 1.8 already, you definitely need to implement the connectivity issue fix (longer tolerance of lowered or lost connection on the part of one of the players, so that people don´t get disconnected in multiplayer all the time).

Thanks for great feedback guys! We`ll post our plans for 1.9 (including many of your suggestions) later this week.

Once a campaign chapter has been completed, it'd be nice if the game would ask me if I want to continue to the next chapter, or return to the main menu.

Good point! and Easy to add, thanks.

It'd also be nice if the Singleplayer Skirmish setup window (where you configure enemies/factions/races/colors/map settings) would remember the last set settings, rather than resetting to a preset default everytime.

Another few things came to my mind last evening;

  • During the campaign, first chapter, when playing with the orcs, I spent like 5 minutes trying to figure out how to make Slayers. The objectives only say "click orc, then click war hut", but neither a right click or a left click works. Apparently it needs a double-click, which IMO is a rather unusual command in a RTS game. Perhaps the objectives could be updated so it clearly states it needs a double-click with the left mouse button?
  • In the Singleplayer Survival mode, it'd be nice if there was a time indication counting down before the start of each wave.
  • Personally I think the first wave arrives pretty soon and gives you very few time to prepare. Perhaps the time before first wave could be increased a bit on easy difficulty?
  • As a new player, I don't have all tech unlocked yet. However, it seems AI opponents have the full tech unlocked, which makes the fight unfair. It'd be nice if AI opponents have roughly the same amount of tech unlocked as the player.
  • I still haven't figured out how to activate cards in game (I assume they work for all game modes?). It could be that I overlooked something, but it could also be that the GUI isn't clear enough on this part.
  • I find myself often pressing the "continue" button when starting a new game, because it's in a position that's is normally occupied with a "start" or "next" button. I know this is an error on my part because I'm not reading clearly, but perhaps button positions could be changed. The current position of the "new game" button is where normally (on many other games) a "cancel" or "back" button is located. There is no "cancel" or "back" button in this game, as there's only the "X" button (most games have both). It's also a bit odd I can continue a Singleplayer Battle that was already won.

About that, you just enter your "cards" option, and when you click on a card stack that you have at least 1 card in, you get the option to select that card. Then the card moves slightly upwards, and you will be automatically able to use that card every time you play as that race, until you deselect it again (or run out of them). Also took me a while to figure it out :P

So I don't know if I'm late to this party but you could tweak the archers. Its fine when I play faction vs faction but on survival it's just painful to watch 100 archers focusing on one zombie who is slowly crawling towards the walls and everybody just shoots the spot where the zombie was a second ago.
I don't know if it's just me, but I always was an archer fan so it's annoying as hell for me ^^

I did notice the archer-tactic didn't work well in survival. I thought it was just me, as I'm new to the game, so I just assumed the zombies were tough.
