- Suggestion: Maybe find a way to tally votes without requiring people to log in. I'm sure some people don't want to go through the account creation thing, but still want to vote.
- Question: Would it maybe be possible to get that trailer music as a download somewhere? I'm thinking it could maybe help with making some short Youtube videos of prototype gameplay for the rounds.
Thanks,
Daav
As for the other game, I've definitely played something like that several times already, plus the game over makes it frustrating (what is this, 1990?).
But seriously, good job on both games.
I found both games frustrating but Dupi was the good kind of frustrating. When I realised it had limited lives I was transported back to my days playing Manic Miner on the Spectrum.

I'm not sure where Forest got it from, but we were able to buy a royalty-free license.
Game installed, running, chopper is sitting on pad with rotors still. I looked at all the controls, WASD, or arrows, good, but how do I get started? Nothing does anything, except the Escape key changes between mouselook-with-no-cursor and standard cursor that does nothing.
How to start the engine? What am I missing?
Oh yeah, and why are the files green when I look at then in winblows explorer?
Win7/64 SP1
No idea why the files are green! That must be something on your PC..
OK, cool, that worked. So the left mouse button is like the collective, sort of.
Nice little game, I guess I'm just too clumsy; rotary wing aviation is not for everyone.
I am having to use Task Manager to kill the game as I cannot find any way to exit.
the universal Windows key combo for exiting an application is Alt+F4
However, I seem find myself in the Dupi minority; I agree the Copter game would be interesting as well, but I really like how Dupi has a lot of potential for complexity despite having an extremely simple control scheme.
I agree with the criticism that a finite number of lives with a complete restart when you run out is harsh and makes the experience less fun, but this is just a prototype and I would assume a full Dupi game would have Chapters or Worlds or something so you don't start from the very beginning when you run out of lives.
In any case, I look forward to the rest of the tournament!
