Yep, Linux support is already planned and will be added in the future. Don't worry I haven't forgotten the Linux fans. You guys are awesome!

No problem. it is something I wanted to address sooner but never really got around to it. But now I know there are actual amazing Linux fans waiting... well ;)

I really wish people would stop asking for linux support on almost every game coming out these days. Making games linux compatible takes time away from what could be spent adding features and fixes to the existing windows user. Linux excels at network/server administration and was NOT built with gaming in mind. Your burning desire to be an individual and use Linux because mainstream isn't cool or your just a tight ♥♥♥ to pay the money we all did for our OS, is screwing with the rest of us. Same goes for you IOS uses(though not so individual or cheap). You want to game, use windows or to a lesser extent, IOS. OR live with the hand YOU dealt yourself.

In closing, stop slowing the world down.

@Creadoris your using Steam, made by Valve who are putting everything they got into Linux because if a game is ported properley it runs better on Linux, you my friend are slowing the world down. We will all enjoy Vox on our Steam Boxes because oh wait they run on Linux too.
We dont use Linux tobe an indvidual we use it because its faster, we dont have to deal with viruses, its free and there is great open source software for all your needs, oh wait did I mention games run better.

No.

No.

Not true.
open source software for all your needs,

no, office, photoshop, visual studio, sound creator, max3d are far superior than your ♥♥♥♥ libreoffice gimp and blender.

What about server ? windows are far superior in many domains.

You are spreading lies like mac users. you are in a sect.

Take it easy.

I'm not sure why you're so offended by asking if there are plans for Linux support. Obviously given that 10% of Steam games have been ported to Steam Linux in less than a year and with Valve themselves having big plans to use Linux as a base for their own OS, it's a topic of importance.

Also, how is Valve trying something new "slowing the world down"? What are MS doing that is so innovative? Making an underpowered 'next-gen' console..that is beaten by any half-decent 'current-gen' PC? Royally messing up the UI of their best desktop OS? Trying to lock down with Windows? MS have a long history of following (and doing it well)..but stagnating at the first opportunity. Given history, if Valve pull this off, it'll do MS a lot of good.

No need to get hostile guys, I have already said I will be bringing Vox to Linux so no need to argue.

Thanks!
