Yeah I have to agree, no offline play is a deal breaker.

If the game can not survive (Read be fun) without other people providing your content then odds are your game is not very good and you are just hoping your user will shore it up for you.

I.E. No need to write storylines, no need for voice acting, no need for decent AI. Just let people murder eachother until they get bored and move on to the next survival game.

(Yes I know there are PvE servers, that just means people have to find other ways to grief... and they will)

In fairness to the (It isn't solo concept), from what I have read so far, the game is designed to be quite difficult for the solo player to encourage teamwork, thats just how the game is made.

Read faq

I'm pretty sure that's why it would be a good idea to play with friends.

I understand VbHD, however I have found that any online game that allows players to mess with other players then given time they will work out ways to ruin the fun for them.

This turns into a spiral as the griefers get thier lulz until all the normal players quit the game and it dies.

This is why in most MMOs (Non-PvP based) you cant do ANYTHING to other players. Heck most of them even let you walk directly through the other players because they will use their bodies to block you.

If I NEED other players then grand, make the game multiplayer but not server based. I.E. Let one player host the game and the other connect to it. Your friends are much less likely to be jerks as you know where they live

I grant letting players host may not be something they can do if the system requirements for the server are too high. If that is the case then odds are this game is just not for people like me. And that is cool, no reason you can't have fun with it.

Looks like someone did not bother to read any of the thread.

We are talking about the highly unfair fights that seem to always come in these games. I.E. You spawn in with a rock while 4 people with automatic weapons camp your spawn killing you over and over for fun.

The only mistake made was logging into the game.

If fights were fair or even close to fair then I don't think you would see much carebear crying. This is why most MMOs have so little open world PvP but TONS of arena and battle ground PvP. Arenas limit level, weapons and skill to match yours, as do battlegrounds.

While an open PvP game like this does nothing to even try to keep a balance so of course it quickly goes out of balance leaving the people who have tons of time to play able to far out arm themselves realative to people who have jobs.

And before you say something about getting friends, I have noticed most of these griefers tend to like to roam in packs, the last thing they want is a fair fight.
