Does anyone else own or play this game?
I just bought this game on Steam a few days ago and there are no games listed whatsoever. Needless to say this concerns me greatly, they have three regions listed , North America ,Europe and I forget the third one out of those three potential regions they do not show one single solitary game to join in on. Hard to believe> is it a glitch? a bug? incompetence? but I checked all three and clicked quickplay and I waited as long as 2 hours and no games. How do you obtain a match in this bizarre game. I have never seen a game handled so stupidly , do they expect people to buy this?Well . I got suckered by the advertisement, it looked cool but if no one plays the thing what then? no wonder it is only 5 bucks , at least thats what I paid , I saw Sins of a Solar Empire creators made it and was intrigued but if no one plays it than I just got ripped off. Does anyone else have the same problem that has recently purchased it?

This game is still in early access. Player base is limited. Shouldn't be too hard to find games right now. Just enter the Quick Play queue.
I assume you're talking about the "Browse Custom" section when you say there are no games listed. At the moment, custom matches do not provide experience or item rewards, so many people do not create custom games except for testing and practicing purposes.

You would be much more likely to find a match using the "Quickplay" button, which will place you in a matchmaking system. As arakiel said, the playerbase is currenlty small so queue times can be long. Still, it is very much possible to find a full 5v5 match.

I tried quickplay , clicked it walked away and game back two hours later and still no game!

Lol - most likely within that 2 hour period several games passed you by then - you have to be present and accept the match when 10 players are found. If you don't accept, your spot in the queue will be bumped for someone else eventually. There is a sword sound when a match comes up for acceptance so you will hear it even if alt-tabbed or in the room at least. The game is new to early access so the playerbase is small but still playable depending on time of day. Wait times can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes. Join general chat when you're on and you can get a better idea on how long your wait till a game might be.

If you're unfamiliar with this type of game (they all function similarly, in that you have to accept the match as it triggers), you should likely first try the Custom Games against bots (computer controlled enemies) to get familiar with the game mechanics.

I have been playing pc games for decades my friend and there is one simple thing this game lacks , one is a single player mode so you can go through a tutorial, make that two, and the second one is a list of all current games available and being played like all first person shooters have , League of Legends has something similar , at least you are very aware that there are other people playing this game and therefore you have a reason to sit there and stare at your timer on the pc screen for however long you claim it takes for a game to be offered. its a flaw plain and simple.
Hi Buzzerker.

Not sure about a single player mode (will have to ask), but a Co-Op vs. AI mode will be planned for the future in which you can get XP and loot.

A tutorial is planned but will come in after Early Access ends. If they put it in now and things change, they will have to redo it, so they are waiting until all the Early Access feedback is in.

There used to be a list of games played and players online, but it was removed. There was a lot of feedback on the removal, and the devs are aware of the issue. It may return when the player base increases, but I'll have to ask around to get an official answer.

Just bought the game today and have not had any luck in match making yet. Says estimated wait is 6:01 and that has long came and went....Just wondering how active this game is, would love to play it.

There are peak hours/days, and with a small playerbase, sometimes it may take a while to get into a match.

An alternative is to play a bot match in a custom game; however, these are mostly for testing purposes and do not yield XP or loot.

The small playerbase will be addressed in the future once all the bug fixing is out of the way.

The games population is declining rapidly. I check steamcharts quite often to get an idea of how many players are online. And atm on a Saturday evening (central time US) there is currently 6 players online. That isn't even enough for one game. I love the game but I haven't played in over 2 weeks because of the que times. I hope they implement the Player vs. AI soon for rewards. At least give the players something to do while waiting in que. There are a few moba alternatives where you get instant ques. And people tend to stick with what they know. I hope this game makes it and does well but things are lookin grim.

Thank you for validating my position , I knew it wasn't me , something just seems off with this game. It looks good , sounds good , but if the people are not there it aint' gonna happen.
The game is in Early Access.

It will eventually become free to play.

This is a beta where the players that do willingly opt in are aware of the game's unfinished state and are there to help provide feedback and bug fixes.

The game's bug report page has had 400+ issues since the game went on Steam back in December. Most of those issues were found by a handful of dedicated testers who offer their time and help make the game better.

It is constantly getting updated and can only get better.

I wonder what people expect nowadays when they buy an Early Access beta key?

I think all the scammers who are charging full price for unfinished titles sort of preconditioned them badly, no? =\

What exactly "ain't gonna happen," pray tell? The game is months away from even being considered finished...why would the devs want to overload the servers with unnecessary population when the major bugs haven't even been completely eradicated yet mate

On the one hand....I remember when I had to walk several miles in the snow to reach a terminal in a lonely shack in order to play this game...and then hope that 9 others had done the same. So there has been a lot of progress. On the other hand, I do sympathize with current queue times and acknowledge that a MOBA game's reputation and momentum is extremely important. I don't think server load is at all an issue these days. We had close to 200 players at the start of early access. Now we are struggling to get games in and wait times are quite long. This leads to less testing and bug reporting as well. So, while I'm in no rush for the game to get released to the great unwashed masses, we could certainly do wth a population boost for the greater good of everyone. I'm not especially worried though - lots of people check the game out for a while, play other games, check back in a couple weeks later, etc. It's not an all or nothing situation. Once there is a major overhaul, major update, new features, etc. and it nears release, there are a lot of players in the general pool who wil re-surface and come back.

Overload the servers is one thing. Not having enough players for a single game is another. We can all say all the right things like it's early access and the game isn't released yet but the fact remains the population isn't increasing it is going down. And before long there won't be anyone to report any bugs in game because noone will be playing.
