Still nobody cares about quests. Meta idea
"Quests + LoL = Soada in beta"
People not doing quests? Yes they do it (rarely) if lane is pushed, fed up,trying out (new player).
The "jungler" should be an Adventurer (based on the items name) whose job is to farm the jungle, try to gank at the first 8 min then BOOOM QUEST QUEST QUEST!!!
Later then specialize to carry, support (i can imagine 2 jungler with 1-1-1 lanes too based on the first quests on both side)

There should be a ranking for quests example

1, Easy (Early game) The veric plague,Raise your Gryphon,(and maybe Necromancer's Bargain too)

These are appering on top and bot jungle too so players dont need to move far away from their original lane.->"Who cares,I like this lane minions and the enemy is having troubles defending his tower!" -> "Ring Ring 7:30 Tea time no lane minions until 10min(or until the quest is complated)"
Winning team get advantage and buffs - Losing one have to play more defensive

2, Medium (Mid game) Tower Siege,Path to Ascention,Divine lost army,(Necromancer's Bargain)

You get some tower?Ganked sucessfully the enemy? You teleported back for your boots, staffs, swords? Let's round 2 begin at 17:30 min its dinner time so no lane minions spawn until 21min (or until the quest is complated)
In these players have to leave their own "side" and wander around the enemy's one with their builds and fight each other (killing enemy's courier, knight(from Divine lost army) etc.
You won? Push like a madman until the buff dissapear!
You lost? Defend as much you can.

3,Hard (Late game) Troll's treasure,Valkryn's Watch

Are you getting your final build?Lost your tower? Its time for more QUEST QUEST QUEST so team up and play like the pros. 27:30 good evening soliders!
First there should be the Valkryn's Watch or the Troll at 28min which gives the player the scouting falcon thingy or 800gold(should be buffed from 500 imo ;D) (=Lategame scouting? OP, 800 gold #opweaponsincoming) then lane minions coming back until 35 min when....

4, Dragon Slayer

Your towers fallen down? You got some final items? You realized its a teamgame? So its time for the Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagon~!RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR the soliders are scared and playing Monopoly in the castle! They wont spawn until you killed the dragon or they finished with the monopoly which is 5 hour (which is 5min ingame) then its all settled down , lurk like a team , defend like a team , fight like a team , and play like a team!
Lane minions coming back and the 2nd Hard quest is starting at 45min..

Huhh it took me like 50min to write these ideas down... this is basicly a "quest oriented moba" So there will be less quests (except extreme long games) but they given randomly (except the dragon)

EasyA->MediumA->HardA->Drag->HardB->MediumB->EasyB->....

If you read this whole thing ,you deserves an award :D
Looking forward for answers, ideas etc etc!

It goes to illustrate how knowledgeable you already are about the game balance that Blair Fraser, one of the founders of the company, stated himself that they're trying to change the metagame for the jungler until he becomes an essential part of Realm Quest completion, and not just some poor sucker wandering around alone in the forest waiting for ganks and the occasional veric pelt.

Again, your psychic powers are revealed in full form! There is indeed a pseudo-random "Quest Master" that decides what type of Quest to complete and when. However, I feel like having Quests in the same static order would get just a tad boring, because sometimes you want to throw a tough quest at a slightly underpowered team to see if they are willing to work with the enemy team before they start working against them ;D

Also, it might be a bit early to make the Dragon a staple of the "toughest" quest spot, because I'm not too sure what other kinds of quests Ironclad has in store for us yet ^^

I meant here that less quest in 1 match.

EasyA->MediumA->HardA->Drag->HardB->MediumB->EasyB->....

I see you dont get this little "chart" here. The Easy,Medium,Hard quests would be randomed.
But im happy about somebody actually read it. :D

Btw what's your opinion about taking out the 7:30 lane spawn (which lane arrives at 8min(when the quest start)) to force the players to do the quest?

i think quests are not rewardful enough

I think quests and their rewards are in a good place atm. Better than ever. I've been quite impressed with the number of new players who take them seriously.

But you have to prepare. Don't use your teleports just before a quest. Save them for during the quest, so you can maneuver better. Place wards just before the quest. Push lanes out just before the quest. Get a seal of fortification. Give everybody advance warning about what the plan is. "Quest coming up. I will shift to lane X to be closer to objective. Push hard, then focus on quest."

Playing Sins with a premade team also works wonders for any late-night cravings for strategy. Just a suggestion ;D

I think they are fine and even somewhat underrated. Especially the 4th bonus is ridiculously good and easily leads to a game end in long games, ergo quests are encouraging teamfights while changing a potential farming heavy mid game to a meta where teams have to decide if they want get the higher farm of being in the jungle or on lanes or get the advantage via buffs. Increasing the non-buff quest rewards, like XP and Gold would remove that decision and outright force people to go for every quest. Lack of alternatives leads to a stale meta where suddenly every game plays out identical.
The main problem I see right now is that a lot of players are not aware enough about the impact of the quest buffs on the game and ignore wards altogether, leading to somewhat of a derpy wash when it comes to quests.

Seriously, some of the quests can be done really fast if your team works together.
Its not rewarding? It is, gives much more gold than a outer and inner tower. Oh and it gives global gold. Plus permanent buff for the whole team, which helps alot, again.

If not only 1-2 person would care about quests, your problems wouldn't even exist. You just have not gotten a good team which im not wondering of due to the game just became f2p not long ago, which means a lot of people are still new and needs to learn a lot of things.

In the other hands, quests can be skipped too, if you get a good team you can finish the game in less than 20 minits easily. We are just not at that point yet.
Games takes longer because the players still don't know how to build, how to quest, hydra, counterbuild, not even a clue for an optional meta, or a team comp. The list could go on.

Just because its a moba game it doesn't mean everyone who plays it are fimilar with the game or the genre it self. People needs to learn, try to help them if you can.

Suggestions/Feedbacks are good ofcourse, i do agree some things needs to change and need some balancing too. But these are not the reasons for slow and long games.

Very true. I wish more people understood the significance of this "knowledge gap" within the playerbase, and all the negative implications it holds
