Dear developers and dear community of Sins of a Dark Age
According to this post: http://steamcommunity.com/app/251970/discussions/0/523890528711892421/ the development for SINS will be stopped.

First of all: sad snake!

Second: I would like to thank all the developers of this game and the entire SINS community for creating this awesome gaming experience for me to enjoy. And i mean enjoy a lot. MOBA's have never been a thing for me untill a friend convinced me to give this game a shot. I was instantly hooked on this game because it felt really good to play and is tons of fun. More important for me was the awesome community in this game. I knew nothing of MOBA's so i just clicked around and died a lot. I know MOBA's communites are notorious for their flaming kids yet this game has been very different for me. Sure i sucked and some ppl wished i uninstalled the game so i would stop feeding. Yet other people actually took me on and showed me how to play this game. I was amazed about how friendly and good willing this community was to help me learn and get better and be able to enjoy this awesome game ever more! Soon i had tons of friends here and really enjoyed playing with all of you and slowly becoming better. Thank you for everyone who fought with me and against me and showed me how to feed - not feed - defend a lane - win a lane - start to jungle - master jungle - become a brushdom king. You all have really inspired me and showed me how awesome a MOBA game can be, in particular this game!

Third: I feel the community has not been utilized enough. This community has so many great idea's how to create things and help develop the game. Sure you guys made us of the community for idea's and such yet i don't think the developers took it far enough. I know quite a few people here are heavily involved in this game and even those lesser involved contritube their part. I think this community can be more actively used to help this game grow. The community of this game is, afterall, what distinguishes it from other MOBA's.

Fourth: I would like to ask all of you reading this to join this group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Sinsofadarkageveterans and invite all fellow sinners.

Thank you for this awesome gaming experience all! As far i'm concerned we are not done here yet..

Greetings,

Ex-Calibre AKA Brushdom king

Calling out to all sinners to write down your opinion!

I'm going to be completely honest.

The decision was an inevitable one.

Everyone tries to get into the MOBA market and almost everyone has failed to last in it. Once there is a strong playerbase in most games, it's hard to make any headway.

This is true for most any genre. Look at how many games fell to the might of WoW.

This was my first MOBA that I actually enjoyed and wasn't chased away from. I started playing in EA and will miss this game once its gone.

This might need to get merged with Gig's post but thanks as well to all at Ironclad! This was the first MOBA I really enjoyed and got into after just some dabbling with DoTA2. I'm sure it was a tough decision to make but I've enjoyed the ride from day1 and have no regrets at all. In fact, tons of memorable gaming moments, tough competition, plenty of dev interaction and feedback and new gaming friends made it very worthwhile. I'm sure it has been invaluable as well for the devs as an experience in trying something new.

Life is too short to have regrets. It was great while it lasted, but even devs have to eat. And on the plus side, I'll have so many more hours in my week!

Breaking up is hard to do. I just have to promise myself not to cling to the word "currently".

hmm just when the numbers started to go on a rise they are cutting the game off :P

I'm sorry to see that the project failed. I had been contemplating whether I should give it a try since I've never played any MOBAs, but when I started reading reports about low player counts, I lost interest. If Ironclad hasn't been hurt too badly, I wonder if this means that they'll try to rebound with a Sins of a Solar Empire 2. I sure hope so.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DvSzUKUBlU is pretty much all i can say
Jesus......... I know that this game was in trouble when I saw the number of people playing it, but didnt know it was in this big of trouble.

Please dont think I want this game to fail. Even though I only played this game for a couple days when right after TB covered it. I wanted the game to succeed just like most of you guys. The gamer side of me really like story of indie dev success story, through hard work and labor. It just when I am courious and check how many people are playing it, the business side of me kicked in.

I hope the devs make it through this alright and go on to make their next game, and you guys find your next game that you really enjoy playing like this one.
All good things...

Just want to echo the sentiment of other players. This was the first moba I enjoyed and I have the devs and the community to thank for that.

I hope the best for IronClad in the future; the level of community interaction and hard work you all put in has earned my support for whatever you guys go for next.

Thanks for all the great games and memorable moments!

Several years in development and shut down after being released for 2 month. Really sad to hear. Didn't expect the situation to be this bad.
I wish the best for you IC.

I don't really know what to say that hasn't been said yet, I'm sad to see this game go down, I felt it was coming, but that doesn't mean anything.

I hope your next project has a lot more success than this one :redflower: :redflower:
