Some questions and comments on what you have so far
II found out about this game at an MMO fourm website by happenstance and haven't stopped playing. It's well done so far, but just want to know some things about whats coming.

How offten or what interval do you plan on releasing new heros?

Do you guys have plans on cleaning up the UI and maybe allowing user made mods for the UI?

A lot of MOBAS suffer from the item builds get old over time. How do you guys plan to keep the game fresh 2 to 4 years from now?

MOBA's tend do get some ville tempered people. What is your thoughts on dealing with this problem?

Otherwise i'm happy so far, but please don't just disappear and stop talking to us. I'm sure you will deal with some buttheads, but i'm sure most of us will be nice :) .

The only official word I have heard is that "more heroes will be added throughout the life cycle of the game."

No idea what the final tally will be or when the next hero will be. The only hint I have for the next hero is "short range."

The most recent hero was Bataar, who was introduced in December during the Founder-only stage of Soada's dev cycle.

Lot of feedback on the UI so far. The current UI is fairly new and about a month or so old. HUD scaling is brand new, and more tweaks such as the ability to move the minimap to the left I believe are planned. Feel free to add suggestions or feedback on what works and doesn't work with the UI. Front end, in-game, etc.

Edit: Steam Workshop integration is a popular request, but the devs want to focus on other things before considering it. So it is undecided at this time.

My best guess is that Ironclad will take the same approach that they did with Sins of a Solar Empire. Maybe new gameplay features in the form of mini expansions/updates (like Entrenchment/Diplomacy) that will further set Soada aside from anything out there currently? I know new modes, maps, and other fun stuff are planned. You can read some examples here.

Currently you can ignore players if they are harassing you both in chat and in-game. You can also "Vice" or thumbs down them after a match. If enough players Vice them, the player will have revoked chat privileges and not receive xp or loot if their vice level gets high enough. The system is open to feedback and will constantly be tweaked throughout Early Access.

Repeat offenders can also be punished through temporary or, in severe cases, permanent bans.

Soada has the most active dev team I have ever seen in any game community. They read the forums, patch approximately every ~1.5 weeks on average, and play the game every day.

Soada is a long term commitment done by some super cool and talented people. I can't wait to see what else is in store!

Hi Detterback,
Could you provide specific examples of which areas of the UI concern you?

I think the Veric shape shifter answered most of the questions to what the Devs and dedicated players think and how things have been working in the game as well as problem solving ideas.

I hear a lot of questions on the subject of the UI, I'm guessing because it's different to most "MOBA" games that already exist? Please, if there is any input you can bring to the table to improving the UI then help these hard working Devs as much as you can because it makes the game better for all of us at the end of the day!

Hope to see you in game soon!

Ok, so I spent some time in paint to help give my ideas, mind you I suck with it so plz don't laugh.

This first one is with the normal scale UI: http://puu.sh/9RKM5/1a389e337f.jpg

This one is with the small scale UI but larger mini map: http://puu.sh/9RKVb/d9f68a423e.jpg

Personally, I really think the UI is close, just needs to be tweaked a bit as you see in my pics, but for me the being able to clearly see the hero whos coming for me in the mini map is a huge thing.

Thanks for the details Detterbeck.
In your first one are you suggesting that the default HUD scale is 50% of what it is now?

I like your feedback on this. Especially the point about the consumables being seperated from the rest of the inventory.

We also have some ideas for how to add more clarity to the hero icons without making them larger
