It think it's a fun game and a good alternative to dota 2. It has some cool additions like quests during matches but also lack a few features from Dota like denying. Right now I wouldn't buy it if I were you. There are only a few players so it can be difficult to get a match going. I normally wait an hour for each match but sometimes it takes longer. I was in a queue for over 2 hours before I left once.
Hi =[Code X]= Juggernaut.

Sins of a Dark Age is currently in Early Access closed beta, so the community is small at the moment. The small community is ideal for the developers to introduce new features and ideas on a small scale so that we guinea verics can provide more in-depth feedback.

Queue times depend on time of day, player peak hours, and location. I've been told that 12pm EST is a good time for most players, but you still might have to wait around for a game. The alternative is to play a bot match (which is mostly for testing and does not grant xp or loot) or to alt tab and wait for a Quickplay match. That being said, "In the future, there will be new singleplayer and co-op modes that provide XP and Loot."

The game usually gets patched every 1.5 to 2 weeks or so, and the developers play every day.

The game itself is stable for most users, but since it's a beta, some hiccups do occur here and there. When they do happen, the devs jump on them asap.

There are 19 free to play heroes at the moment, and skins can be crafted and dropped from Quickplay matches. Heroes present and future will be free.

It's a great deal for $5, and it will eventually become free to play in the future as Early Access comes to a close.

The benefit of playing now is receiving one of three Early Access bundles that contain a skin, a piece of Hero Gear, and some crafting material in addition to providing feedback and giving you the chance to help influence the game.

You can read more about Early Access here.

If you have further questions, I can try to answer them!

At the least, you should keep this game in mind. There are so many improvements planned for the title before release that I can guarantee it will be a breath of fresh air. Check out the Release Notes portion of the forums for the progress made so far, and the Early Access FAQ manny posted above me to read about plans for the future.

As Poul said, the queue times are currently huge (especially if you log in on off-hours,) but you don't want to miss out on a permanent improvement because of a temporary problem ;D

I have decided. I might buy it, aslong as I see active devs and updates. :)

Well, there were two pretty major updates in the last week alone, with more coming very soon.

You can check the erstwhile progress made here, and even see for yourself how often devs post in the threads ^^

Im dota2 player myself, bought this recently. It's ok, its very lol-like though. Every hero has his passive, same stats(or at least similar), all spells scale, everything is short range, all disables are low duration, nukes are small, bunch of skillshots. Items are boring to, no blink dagers, dagons, or shadow blades, all they do is give you stats, maybe slow in aoe, or slow when you hit someone etc. Theres no different altitudes, no creep denying, blocking or stacking..
I'm still playing though, it's fun, it has some differences. Main reason I dont play LoL is because that you need to buy heroes, it just removes too much from game, and riot makes money by making op heroes on purpose so people buy it, and then nerf the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. In Soda heroes are free so you will get better balancing.

Don't forget all the meta-bending Realm Quests, in-client Twitch capability, 100% Steam Market integration and the free skins too, a lot of people dig all of those ^^

And that's only this far in Early Access, so stay tuned mates ;D

Meta bending realm quests? No one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about quest, everyone just ignores it, and if you dont ignore ppl rage at you saying that you should have ignored it.

while it's true that there's a time and place for certain quests, to say that everyone ignores them is a grossly inaccurate statement. All games I'm in quests are pursued. Not all of them, but they are pursued nonetheless :)

You need better teammates haha; sounds like the people you've played with have no idea how the RQs work, or what effect they have on the outcome of a game =P

If you want to test the game sure. If you want to play on a regular basis i would say no.

Its worth 3 euros if its still has that pricing, otherwise not. So far there is very few heroes, get LoL instead. I heard about new heroes will be released but its seems far into the future.

well i kinda regret it that i buyed it so early cause the waiting times > 15 minutes searching game around 20 minute games not worth it ( now dont say i have to play on xxx time cause it sucks to play on given times and not when i want ) well another month break in the hope it gets a bigger playerbase

This is all stuff you should have prepared for, mate, especially if you don't like being told to "play on given times."

Early Access is about splatting bugs and improving quality of life overall; if back-to-back games of non-stop action are what you bought into this beta title in search of, then yes, you jumped the gun by quite a large margin =P
