is this game 4:3 screen ratio only? No 16:9 ?

Looking at the pics I see screenshots with 4:3 ratio only, and some filler left and right.
So my question is will be 16:9 monitors supported as well?

The game only takes place on a 4:3 space (for gameplay reasons, arenas would've been too wide if it was 16:9), but all kinds of monitors are supported. The filler you see left and right will appear if you play on a aspect ratio other than 4:3.

thats bad new. how can a arena be too wide?
I thought this is a 4 player local co-op game, so the bigger the better!

Also if you advertise this as a "true couch co-op game" I think modern TVs should be supported. And all TVs sold in the last 15 years are 16:9. Not to support them is just lame.

Just to be clear, the game absolutely does support 16:9 TVs (and all other resolutions). It simply draws filler art on the edges and keeps the gameplay area at 4:3. As mentioned above, this was done for game design reasons. Sorry if this upsets you but I assure you, a larger play area was not better in this case :)

Hello Matt. I've noticed the filler art only covers enough for a 16:9 monitor. It doesn't affect gameplay, but elements that are supposed to be hidden from view are still visible since the filler art doesn't cover them. It doesn't affect gameplay at all but does look a bit ugly so I'm reporting it in case you may want to fix it.
