Also, if you have time can you try going to the Options menu and disabling Gamepad Discovery, then restarting the game with the keyboard connected to see if that also solves it for you?
Thanks!
I do have the launch option '-NoGamepadUpdates' enabled, would that do the same thing as the in-game option?
1. Went in the game with nothing plugged into USB 3.0, went to Options and disabled Gamepad Discovery
2. Exited the game
3. Plugged Corsair RGB keyboard in via USB 3.0, launched the game
4. Game now works fine even with something plugged in via USB 3.0
I'm assuming this means the launch option '-NoGamepadUpdates' doesn't do the same thing, or doesn't work? I don't remember where I found that launch option as a suggestion, I think it was somewhere on this forum.
Also, previously when it was getting stuck (before I tried unplugging the USB 3.0), it was getting stuck at the TowerFall screen where 'Ascension' comes via an animation, the animation would get stuck roughly halfway while the music continued playing indefinitely.
Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything else I can help test.
Then I unplugged the keyboard in the USB 3.0 slot, and the game almost immediately started working again.
I guess the only weird thing remaining that I can't think of an answer to is why the game worked perfectly fine for over an hour on the first launch (with the keyboard plugged in via USB 3.0 and Gamepad Discovery on default, which is On), and then wouldn't work afterwards unless either USB 3.0 wasn't being used, or Gamepad Discovery was turned off...
I removed the -NoGamepadUpdates startup argument when I added Gamepad Discovery to the options menu, but now I'll be sure to add it back in. They do the same thing.
