Is it patched? And if so, is it worth it?
Pretty much what it says in the title.

So I spoil myself ahead of playing the game? Thanks, but I don't think so.

The game is unifinished still... It's a teaser for a game they didn't actually make... The WHOLE way through the game they talk about things you will face that you never reach. They sold a canned project by the looks of it... It's a money grab with something that should have been circular filed or finished and they have done neither... What's more, that drawn out cinematic ending looks like it took enough work that they could have added (though not necessarily quality tested) a couple whole new levels to the game.

Also, the kicker on this new ending... If you are already playing a game, you are gonna have to start over if you wanna see it.. If you finish a game you were already playing, you still get the original wall of text.

I just used my last "old" save to check the new ending and I didn't have to do another playthrough.

The sound is a bit strange for me in the cutscene, but I find the new ending overall more satisfying "storywise" than the previous wall of text.

I think what makes us think the story ends abruptly gameplay-wise is because there is no final boss fight. Most singleplayer shooting games (if not all) end with a final boss.

Here, opening a seemingly common door triggers the ending. It is not something you expect to be the last action before "beating the game"

Add a boss fight and the game could be considered complete both storywise and gameplaywise.
The current ending won't answer to everything in the plot, but I think it was intended this way, to be able to release a possible sequel if the situation is favorable.

EDIT: Forgot to answer the thread :P
I always found the game was "worth it", even without the ending issue. Mostly everyone was disapointed by seeing how it ended while we had our own expectation of how great it would be if we based it on the game quality up to that point.
