I start with the biggest problem with this game, and the reason of the "not recommended" stamp.
It's the price. I can't believe how is that possible this game is 20€ without sale.
There are AAA games with lower price, and even indie games what are better made than this.
You can't compare this game to them. The realistic price would be "free" , but keeping in mind this is
a little indie developer team and needs money, I say 3-4€ at most. It doesn't worth more.
Well, Steam keeps it at sale nowadays, but even on 66% it's a bit overpriced IMO, and the sale is just a bait.
Now let's talk about the actual gameplay.
-The concept is good.
-The atmosphere is spooky (at least in the first few hours).
-The three monsters are different, they are well made.
-Some interesting map.
-There's big potential in this game, if the developers won't abandon it.
-And the biggest pro of this game is that, it's very fun to play with friends...
-... but without them it can be horrible, because it can easily lose the "fun factor".
-As I said, after a few hours it is just not scary., you get used to it.
-It's a bit unbalanced, if you don't learn fully how the monsters work.
-Very, very unoptimized. I mean the graphics are bad, the maps are small, and the fps is horrible. Great combo.
-As a survivor all you do is searching for keys, and opening doors. That's it. Of course you run from
the monster, and hide, but to progress you only need to search, search, search...
-Opening doors, closets, drawers is ridicoulusly bad. You can fight 10-20 seconds with a simple door to open it.
Of course you can learn to open them faster, but maybe it should be more important to make this usable, in a
game where half of the gameplay is opening doors...
-There are a lot of bugs. I mean a bug can appear anywhere. Sometimes the server just freezes. Or the game runs with 1 FPS,
or you can't load the map. Or the chat doesn't work. Or you can't login. Or you can't click on anything in the menu. Anything
that can happen, in this game will hapen. (Murphy's law?)
- The maps are repetitive. You can even mix up maps, because some part of them are just copy pasted from
an other map. They are not varied, they are boring. Like there's a room full of tables... then a room full of chairs... then a room full of closets.. etc. (but as i said in the pros there are a few with good theme, and atmosphere)
-The whole game feels amateurish. For 3-4€ I would say it's okay. But for 20€ it's just a giant NOPE.
So when I suggest buying it?
- If you like scary games, and you have friends to play with.
- When it's on sale and it's price is just a few € , or is in a pack with other games.
