Everything resets after steamVR home is shut down

Everytime I shut down steamVR, everything from items to locations in the home is reset when I turn steam VR back on. Even the items that show to be in my inventory on steam are no longer in home.

Hey, are you saving what you've done before you shutdown SteamVR?
There is a save button in the bottom left of the menu you bring up with the menu button on the controller.
Edit: Not sure why your inventory items are resetting. I would have thought they'd be saved separately from your home space.

Yes I'm saving it, done it twice just to make sure. So at the moment I have to completely re-arrange everything and redo quests to get items everytime I turn steamVR back on.

you can save your enviroment in the menu, if it resets to the default room you can go to the enviroments and when you select the default home one with the disk icon it will let you choose to load your saved enviroment! restarting my computer stopped it from default loading into the bare home. hope this helps worked for me

Yeah I've saved the home, I found a way to get it to not reset, but items from quests still reset so idk.

Yep, I lost all of my stuff. Including the face i built and the items i gathered from quests. Lost it all...

It appears as though there's a problem saving your information to the Steam Cloud. Can you post the contents of your Steam\logs\cloud_log*.txt files?

Sorry to be dumb, but do you mean copy paste the content from within the cloud_log.txt file? Because if so, the character limit doesn't allow me to post the entire log. Is there a way to just post the file itself?

We dug into it a little bit and have a potential fix in the new Steam client beta. If you could follow the instructions here and let us know if that fixes things for you, that would be great: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7021-EIAH-8669

You may need to redo the quests and customize your avatar again, unfortunately.

Worked for a few days and again all progress is lost.
Hours of work and items worth of 5€ again missing.
This is really frustrating.
