Notch just nuked minecraft VR because of this.
but i'm worry about, facebook's stock holders seems not allow about this things..

i just can't stop thinking about how there going to advertise with it, or stop third party things like vorpX from working.
That's my biggest fear.
It might make developing for the rift hard or expensive.
i guess we can only wait and see what happens.
on the bright side though, many people will know what a Oculus Rift is and not look at me like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when i explain it to them.

The direct quote:
Zuck: "We're clearly not a hardware company. We're not gonna try to make a profit off of the devices long term. We view this as a software and services thing, where if we can make it so that this becomes a network where people can be communicating and buying things and virtual goods, and there might be advertising in the world, but we need to figure that out down the line."
But I started to think, and i have an opinoin now, and let me tell it to you.
Think of this: I(and maybe you) want VR to be availbe in the local hardware-stores, like consoles are it since years. And to do that, you need a budged to create Rifts before selling them. And even if 65million sounds much (it is!), that is to less to deliver VR to the whole world. So that is the best chance OculusVR gets to bring VR to the consumers.
And even I, who will never create a facebook-account, can see the need of investors. And as many people say: If it wouldnt have been Facebook, it would have been Google or Microsoft, what not have been better. So dont see only the bad thinks. Read what Palmer said about the relationship between OVR and Facebook. Read the news and wait. Noone knows what will happen now, and to cancel your order of the DK2 or blaming oculus and facebook is the wrong way.
Also, with the new money they can build the best VR possible, and if that isn't enought: they can build it cheap.
Soo that is my opinion at the moment.
Greetings
Malte
