Valve supporting VR is awesome. But you need to do something about the fov in source games.
Playing with a fov of 90 is like playing with binoculars on your face. it gives you a serious disadvantage in tf2. You need to give us a way to go at least to 110 with vr mode enabled.

Yeah there seems to be lack of quality control for enabling titles into the VR category.

The rift dev kit only has about 90 degrees fov. Hopefully future versions have a wider view getting it up to the 110 claimed early on. A curved panel for full peripheral vision would be cool.

Running a wider than natural fov in VR would be puke inducing and not really what VR is about.

No it does not. I have one and the fov feels good at about 105° -110°

I agree, I find a 110 fov is best with the rift.
