Intro & Summary
Paranautical Activity began to pick up traction within the Steam community, but then went off the rails after one of the two developers went on a childish twitter rampage against Steam and had their game pulled after a comment about killing Gabe Newell ( http://www.vg247.com/2014/10/21/steam-gabe-newell-death-threat-paranautical-activity/
Much like Fez, despite all the nonsense and bad publicity because of a developer, Paranautical Activity is still a pretty unique, adrenalin pumping fast blast of a game.
* Excellent timing/pace and very quick off the mark
* Unique enemies and design
* One helluva Soundtrack
* There's a sentiment from Steam gamers to avoid this title because of the twitter comments and attitude of the former developer. While I personally think the former developer was a childish idiot, I separate my choice to purchase a product from any attitude or conceptions I have on people involved with the creation of a product. For some people the attitudes of people working for a company go hand in hand with their choice to purchase products from that company, and may take issue, even after the developers are no longer involved http://steamcommunity.com/app/250580/discussions/0/611698195153627563/
* There're noticably too few enemies, and a lack of weapons
Available on Steam for £6.99/8.99€/$9.99 at the time of review, which feels very fair. It's very replayable, I often find myself coming back to run through a quick few floors. It's often available cheaper via various Indie Bundles, so search around.
