A spell check feature would be appreciated.

I second this. Also, major improments and a lowered price! This tool is NOT worth $30.

Spellchecker: Definitely. Actually we are working on it, it should be available in the near future (we can't say precisely when it will be, though)

That's good to hear! I can imagine that it's a reall big undertaking to add one to your program. Good luck with your efforts to do so! I look forward to seeing the results.

I'd like to see more options, like for acts (TV and Plays, possible TV Movies as well) Inter cuts and groups for characters. EG: Officer group which contains: Officer #1, Officer #2 or maybe separate groups for main characters, supporting characters or extras.

The spellchecker is now available in the latest version of MovieWriterPro.
Note that it's like a "first version" for this feature, we will improve it in the next days and weeks.

Is there any chance that you guys might make it so that there is a way to move between fields by pressing the Tab key rather than having to use the mouse? It would be a welcome addition.

Since we use it more for game story writing it fits our needs only 90%, but it is great for what it is. When I saw the tool it was an immediate "must have it". What would be very helpful is that one could create own tabs. The same thing like "notes" would be sufficient I guess, as functional window. Or maybe sub tabs that can be created and titled under notes. The latter would maybe be less clattery. Basically organize the notes by topic. I am aware that is not really a moviewriter requirement, hehe. But I guess you have more customers on steam that use it for games than Moviewriters.

Thanks for this idea, that should be pretty easy to add it, we will think about it for the next update.

Hi there, I thought a bit more about it, what would really be nice is more if there was a way to structure the notes a bit more, for example for games there are a lot of tech sidenotes. So the notes page gets bulky soon. So nameable tags in the notes would be very helpful. I know it is maybe not so much for filmwriters, but game makers produce more notes I think, since their games normally allow several story strings, while films are straightforward. I think more tabs in the main would make the tool cluttery, so in "notes" that would be a great feature. Plus for those that do not need it, the handling of the program stays the same. They would have only one default sub tab, and that would behave the same like the actual version.
