Downloading Add-Ons & Steam Workshop
Add-Ons
Several people have asked about where to download add-ons so I feel like this thread is needed.

Blockland Forums[forum.blockland.us] Where practically the entire community is at.

Blockland Forums' Files section: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php#4

Return to Blockland has been shut down. Most of the add-ons have been archived in the links below. Since they are third party sites I personally recommend doing a virus scan before using any of the add-ons.

Steam Workshop
Even more people have asked about adding Steam Workshop. The developer has not commented on this yet. However, there are rumors that it is being implemented.

Thank you for all the info :) I have been looking into rtb since a got the game. Very well done. As much as i was one of the Workshop must be implemented people. I think rtb is a the way to go.
Might want to think of just having it part of the game instead of having people go download it.
Having it part of the game gives it more credit and makes it seemed more backed by the games dev team. Also this would make it more steam user friendly as not all steam users understand the process of downloading addons unless its called DLC and Cost $4.99. :) Nice work on the game.

RTB is still just an add-on. Here's my opinion on adding add-ons as default content. Copied from another thread:

There is a very good reason this has not been done and probably will never be done. Customizability, updates, and control. If add-ons were packed together into DLC the people who made them would have little control over them. Should a bug be discovered it would fall upon Badspot to fix it. The content creators could not update their add-ons as efficiently as the updates would need to go through Badspot. (And then through Steam's validation things?) This has been discussed in the community before and a majority agreed that it was not something you want to do often. Very little community made content has been added to the base game and a few times it has happened it didn't work smoothly.

Yeah, that makes some sense there Demian. But im just saying add RTB to the game as standerd. No reason to make every one go and download RTB addon.

If it was part of the game new players would see the addons and packs that are available and also they can see what blockland can be just by viewing the addons. Having RTB as a addon it self isnt a good idea if they want to opt out of workshop.

RTB is Blocklands own workshop and it should be build right into the game. I do agree and i wouldnt want all addons added as it might clutter the game to much and make it to hard to customize it as there would be 1000's of addons to mess with. LOL
Any way. thats my 2 cents. :D

I stand by RTB being a separate part of Blockland because it contains a lot of things that aren't necessary for the game to be enjoyed and it makes it easier for me to push out RTB updates.
