-Interesting and exciting story
- Fitting art style
-Episdoes seemed to get shorter as they went on
-Choices really don't have much meaning overall
-Did encounter a glitch that messed up the game, that it had to be rebooted to be fixed
Telltale brings us another point and click adventure set in the world of Fables who reside hidden in our modern world(based on the graphic novel series). You play as Bigby Wolf(Big bad Wolf) who must find a murder amung their kind. With the help of Snow White you soon find out this is deeper then murder.
The game follows the typical Telltale style that made Walking Dead such a hit. Putting story first then gameplay, you are quickly drawn into the world. While the game offers you some tough choices to make, it really only offers minimal changes that all will come out to the same outcome(but another character will "view" you differently). The only real choice is the end game one, that effects how the story will end.
You basically move scene to scene with talking to other characters or clicking on objects to investigate them. Every so often you will have a big action sequence that will have a minimal quicktime event taht will consist of pressing a directional button, moving the cursor to a point on screen and clicking, or tapping a keyboard key. All very easy and not frustrating. It is more an interactive movie, then a game to be honest though.
While I waited for the last episode to be released before purchasing, since I hate waiting on cliffhangers, that really would be my only gripe with the game. There was also a glitch that when loading the last scene of the game it caused the game to glitch out and throw me through random parts of the story with just me as a walking head and not being able to walk more then a few feet.
A great game, that is highly worth the money. Was one of my top games of 2014
