My first time playing an episodic visual-novel style game like this, and I must say, I'm glad it was this one. The characters are memorable. I remember every single person I came across... that doesn't happen for a lot of games or even shows for me. Almost all of them - the ones that weren't pricks - you end up caring about what happens to them. And even the ones that are pricks, I can remember, because they were all written so damn well.
The voice acting is superb... I can never tire of Bigby (Adam Harrington)'s gruff voice. The story has a great noir mystery feel to it, while simultaneously interweaving characters from nursery rhymes, fables, folklore and fairy tales.
Hence the name, FableTown.
I know this is based on a graphic novel, similar to how The Walking Dead game is based on it's graphic novel. I do plan on starting to read those, but if there's a place to start and get a real feel for these characters and this universe, it was definitely this.
10/10. Would reccomend.
Also apparantly there's a mod or something where you can have the Big Bad Wolf pole dance, so if you're in to that kind of thing, you got that going for you.
