Is this game failing certification?
As it's confirmed that any future XBL release has to have parity with other platforms at minimum (unless you used a loophole), could it be that episode 2 is failing certification there hence an inability to release on PS3/PC? Non disclosure agreements could certainly prevent TTG from stating exactly what the problem is too. I'm unsure if Sony have the same policies, it would be logical to assume they also have similar although I'm unaware of any documents pertaining to that being made public.

Still, I don't think it really excuses the COMPLETE lack of communication, news was promised at the start of January but there has been no follow up whatsoever. I don't think this post will make any difference to the delay but it would be interesting to hear what others believe is causing it and the communications blackout.

This has crossed my mind as well. Working in the gaming industry myself I can assure anyone who's wondering that it's in the best interest of any company to share as much information as possible without necessarily give exact reasons (because, honestly, it normally leads to more questions that can't or shouldn't be answered and thus creating more havoc).

TTG's complete lack of any kind of information is an indication that there might be some party involved with an agreement and naturally, you don't really want to breach that.

And just as an FYI, all 1st parties (like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) has certain "standards" that are quite rigorous and failing just 1 or 2 of those might be enough to fail the entire build. PC on the other hand doesn't have a 1st party naturally so there aren't any quality checks there, apart from those being done in-house.

So what you're saying is that it's all Microsoft's fault? :Kenny:

No, it's still TellTales fault. They should approach their paying customers. If it's contracts that prevent them from talking to the community, then they literally sold out their customers. They shouldn't sign any contract that says "You cannot talk to the people that payed for the game you are making". I wish more contracts stated they had to provide community updates in certain intervals.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to have a deal like that in place. The video game community is notorius for it's trolling, immature, over the top rants and entitlement issues to absolutely everything. Sometimes it's better to just keep quiet because people take things said out of context, twist it and turn it into something that is nothing but bad press for the company. And people just LOVE to believe anything they read or make judgement based on false or twisted information and state that as fact. It's just a downward spiral.

Just to make it clear, I'm not defending either TTG or any 1st party, this delay is pissing me off to no end, but I can certainly understand why it's sometimes better to just shut up. Silence is golden, as they say.
