Neo Geo Arcade Level-4 difficulty?

I want to play on the arcade default difficulty setting (level-4) since I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to the original arcade experience, and would like to do my runs in that setting. But I heard this is impossible on the Steam versions since level-4 is actually the setting between "medium" and "hard." What gives, DotEmu?

What gives? Nothing really, since there's no Option of MVS difficulty (Lv.4), there's only ones between Normal (Lv.3) and Hard (Lv.6), and besides, console ports of MS games don't usually have MVS as a selectable difficulty as that's reserved for the NeoGeo MVS/AES systems.
