Early Access Review
An utterly frenetic bullet-hell shooter that encourages (and sometimes even demands) that the player(s) take risks. If you're not in the absolute thick of it, blasting the circuitry out of robots at point-blank range, you're probably wasting time... And if you're wasting time, you're doing it wrong, because these badass loli-droids are on a VERY tight schedule.
Collecting batteries grants you more time, but the problem is that the game doesn't actually explain the mechanics behind battery drops very well (or at all, at the time of writing), and this can lead to frustration for new players. However, battery drops are NOT random. They are loosely tied to the quantity AND quality of enemies you destroy. The act of destroying a hulking enemy with a ton of hitpoints will often get you a lot closer to a fresh battery drop than destroying squads of low-end cannon-fodder. The key is learning who to attack, and when, and with what weapon.
Once you become familiar with those concepts, the game becomes ridiculously fun... Unless you're someone who REALLY likes to play it safe. In which case you'll die repeatedly as your battery runs out.
