Improper Hue in game
Alpha 206 introduced a new feature that can make characters reflect some of the light from the environment. However, it seems to have created a side-effect where some computers has their whole game as improperly tinted. This thread is to discuss this problem.

Remeber to list your specs, like the graphics card, CPU, and OS! Also remember to e-mail bugs@wolflire.com to help Wolfire with this issue.

If you are experiencing this issue, you can use either a: the advanced beta testing branch, or b: use the previous version. Both can be activated via the beta tab.

Pink filter
Hello all, just reporting a bit of a bug.

I've opted into advanced testing, and I just got an update today/yesterday.
Since then, I've got a bit of a pink hue over everything ingame.

Just reporting, that is all.

Is it just on that specific level, or on all of them? Also, what graphics card are you using?

It's in all levels that I have played recently, custom and default.

I am using an Nvidia GTX 560M 2gb. Drivers are updated.
I've noticed something similar as well, except not that extreme in that picture. What I noticed was a bright yellow shine to everything in the map. I noticed when turning down textures, everything would get all colorful.

If you send an email to bugs@wolfire.com, I can follow up there.
Everything has a red/blue hue?
The color on my game is all messed up and everything looks red and blue. Any idea how to fix this?
CPU: i5-3470
GPU: EVGA Gefore GTX 550 Ti 1 GB
OS: Windows 7 Pro

Am I really the only person with this problem? I haven't found anything on google relating to it.

You aren't the only one, but the older posts that mentioned it were merged into the pinned thread DON'T PANIC: read this for support. I just decided to create a new topic because it is very much a wide-spread problem.

Alot of things appear kind of purple, also this update caused that when I spawn into red desert the game crashes a few seconds later, however in Red Shards alot of the shards are kind of purple. I will try to list as many specs as I have knowledge of:

OS: Windows 7 64bit
Processor: Intel core 2 duo CPU @3.16GHZ, 3.00GHZ
Ram: 6GB
I'm not really sure about my graphics card, it's the one thing that doesn't appear on that spec page thing, and I don't usually remember my graphics card.

Edit: Also, forgot to add that inside the gladiator match, my gladiator is kind of bronze/chrome, it's really bizarre, and when I spawn as a cat in the painted desert map, it usually has a kind of neon coating on some parts of it, it's quite bizarre. I will attempt to get screenshots of these issues later.

Edit: Well, I tried to start up overgrowth on the red shards map and it froze and crashed, no error message, it's just the "stopped working" message as always when it crashes. This update has really taken a toll on the stability of this game. I may not be able to get those screenshots for quite some time.

Edit: Think I just made a discovery on the crashes. When I load up a map and go into fullscreen before it loads, it seems to crash. This issue may be reproducable, I will check this a few times before making a conclusion that this is the issue with my crashes.

There's also this bizarre box surrounding the map: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=276184412

I am not experiencing the bug, but it sounds like it could have to do with the new character cubemap that are used to simulate reflections from the environment. Try turning them off and see if that helps. Also try turning them on again. I know; sounds like a cliché, but maybe if this was the first version of the game you installed some things just weren't calculated right when loading the level.

IIRC, turning them off won't help because of how they are implemented in the shaders. This'll probably be fixed in a future alpha.

I just bought Overgrowth and I really like it but this whole green glow on everymap and every texture is ruining gameplay for me. I hope they fix this in 207.

You should try this: right click on Overgrowth, properties, betas, previous_alpha
