Startup (Press-any-key-screen) freezes everytime on Mac Os X

So I wanted to play Forced today and for some reason the imgage keeps freezing and the game is unresponding. I have expirienced this before, and a force-quit and retry used to do the trick, but not anymore. As of now, the game is unplayable for me. I've tried to reboot my computer, same problem and now I'm trying to reinstall the game and hope that does the trick.

EDIT: Reinstalling the game did the trick, but that shouldn't have to be neccesary!
