local coop lag/connection issues
i absolutely cannot comprehend why local coop not only lags but sometimes i get a message saying i lost connection... to who, myself? this game seems unplayable coop wise, even when on the same pc. 2 xbox 360 controllers, working fine, constant game ruining lag and disconnects. there needs to be some kind of offline feature here for local coop otherwise i just wasted my money on what is a very fun game that i cant play. sorry if this has been discussed already but my current rage prevented me from searching the forums i just had to rant and want an explanation for the unexplainable

Yea, i have same problem. Me and my friend are very disappointed and that video on their steam store page is just bunch of lies.

Anyone, who want to buy it just for real local co op (1 pc, 1 montror), DON'T BUY IT ... it's broken.

Hi!

We've been trying to replicate your problems, but it's been impossible for us. Would be an enormous help if you would mind mailing us your output log, then we'll promise to look at it asap.

From what I understand your game simply disconnects during a local play session, but is after like 20 mins or immediately? And are you constantly experiencing heavy lag in co-op?

Here's how you find the outputlog (scroll down a couple of lines):

I've also had this problem. The connection drops after 2-6 minutes of play.

Why is it connecting out to play local coop?

Or is it an internal connection problem?

Basically what I'm trying to ascertain is whether the server is hosted locally? If so, is it an internal connection issue or does the local server also poll out to your centralised server?

It is unusual to go through this tedium for couch co-op.

A new patch has been released. Please let us know if you are still having issues when playing local co-op in regards to disconnections.

Problem still exists after the patch that hit today. (Or yesterday in your timezone?) Randomly getting "connection lost" in a local coop game. Seriously, get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Still having local co-op issues. My gf had not even joined yet and I got a "disconnection due to time out"...I was playing single player offline...I have yet to even make it past the tutorial.... starting to lose my patience...... expecially since this is an offline issue, and not an online one. Can't you just patch some sort of toggle switch that sees the game as either offline/online?

Chiming in on the complaint that there is no reason whatsoever for being online while doing local co-op only, and I kept getting the same disconnects as other users have specified. Will try the whole log-file thingy and hope for a local co-op patch.
Must say I'm a bit disappointed with this, and the game was pretty fun up until the DCs.

Bump because still no dev answer. Also from all the dev posts i've read, it seems like your code is a mess with no structure.
