Did you guys test this? I mean, at all.
Seriously. A game marketed as a 4-player coop completely fails to work in multiplayer.

Finally today, after waiting months for a patch that even made it work a LITTLE BIT, we manage to play for a couple hours.

Pros: The gameplay is friggin great, puzzles are nice, they flow, it's challenging. The voice acting and story are awful, but who cares, it was fun!

For those few hours. Then sure as hell, we get another bug. Our game crashed on loading a dungeon, I remake the game, and now nobody can join because it thinks the game is full. How does crap like this get past ALPHA, let alone a full release.

Did you guys even TRY to test this online before you greenlit it? Did you do any kind of testing in multiplayer whatsoever? I'm sure it worked great on your lan at the office or whatever, but the real world isn't a giant lan, and those of us who paid for this are getting completely jacked.

Rating: Broken /10

If multiplayer worked properly, it'd be a 7 or 8.

Get it together, seriously.

Get some real friends?

It works fine in multiplayer, it doesn't work fine in ONLINE multiplayer, two completely different things.

Hi @Huge,
Really sorry about your experience. Would be an enourmous help if you could let us know a bit more.
What systems were you using, only windows? And which dungeon did you try to get into before you experienced a load crash?

We are usually testing it remotely by playing from our office in denmark with people in germany for instance, but it's very hard to test all scenarios. Which makes your help very valuable!

Online. Coop. Multiplayer. That's the advertised game. You want me to split screen this on a friggin PC? Want me to call my friends over from 30 miles away so we can play a casual round of forced? Get real dude.

In answer to the dev, Windows7 x64 on my end, windows7 x64 on my buddies end. Dungeon was one before the Wrathoof level. The issue wasn't that it crashed, it was that nobody was able to join afterwards, regardless of who hosted. Invites didn't work, joining through the multiplayer interface ingame didn't work.

A day later, everything works fine for a bit, then fails again.

We try hosting with every member of the group, try joining through steam or through the game. If that all fails, we give up and go do something else.

All I'm asking is for you to not just say "Multiplayer isn't working! Wahhhh!"
Because if multiplayer wasn't working... well, it'd be impossible to play this with another person at all!

> Friends.
> 30 Miles away.

That made me chuckle.

You're nitpicking, and you're being a complete tool.

Oddly enough it IS possible to be friends with people who live outside of shouting distance from you. I'd wager that MOST people who play this game are in a similar situation to mine. Adults typically have jobs and schedules and activities and kids and a whole lot of other stuff that is not conducive to playing split-screen games like we did when we were 12.

Chuckle all you want. Keep it to yourself.

How did you even meet them when they're 30 miles away though, I can understand 10, but 30?

Oh wait... these aren't "internet friends" are they?

We've found the bug and expect it to be fixed in the next update. Thanks for letting us know!

Tell me, what relevance does his friends have to bugs in the game and this thread? He has friends that live further away than yours, get over it. Why should you care? Don't be a troll.

You may not be having any problems with the game but many are.

Where is multiplayer mentioned in this? I don't see it :)

When someone says "multiplayer" that means online, local, lan, every form of multiplayer.
So if multiplayer were to be broken for someone, they wouldn't be able to play all forms of multiplayer.

I'm cool with someone not being able to play multiplayer when they can't, i'm not cool with people lying or deceiving.

Nobody was trying to lie or deceive. You could have just made your correction and left it at that :p

I did, he told me to "get real, dude"
When someone starts insulting me, I insult back.

I'll just remind you of the first response.

I told him to try local instead, he tells me to "get real"
Yeah... your point being?

It was clear when he said that, yeah, but like I said, if he insults me, I'll insult him.

But sure, I started it by telling him multiplayer =/= online. I guess?
