Linux Port - Coming Soon! [edit: Linux port is now available]
I'm almost done with the linux port. I've been spending yesterday and today getting the steam depots and configurations setup with a copy so that I can test out the steam integrations but seems like the linux steam client has been crashing left and right today. None the less we're close to putting this out there.

Great I'll buy this game once the Linux port is out!

It's been a little annoying that I'm trying to test download our application yet when I hit "install" or even "play" on other linux games it just crashes. I've played "Dust" on our linux box before just to be sure everything was setup correctly, yet I can't even seem to launch it via steam. Though, I was finally able to get it to install our game and launch it manually. So, let's hope whatever issues they are having they fix.

Strange, are you using the beta branch of regular? Been playing a bunch of games through the steam client great so far (im using the beta version so it shouldn't make a difference)

Update: Although I have the game running just fine on our linux machine it appears I need to change how we're building it to make use of the Steam Linux runtime.

Update: Despite being sick I've continued working on this, and now have the game running via the steam runtime and as such have been able to download it and play it out of my library. :)

If we're really lucky in getting things done, perhaps later tonight. If not, tomorrow seems likely unless another surprise comes up.

We're going to hold off until tomorrow to put out the update/release with linux as we've found some of the memory leaks that have plagued us for a while. :)

man today is my b-day! This would be a great b-day present if you release it today! :-)

I wish we could Wotan, it will have to be a slightly belated birthday present instead. I had hoped to get it out yesterday but Chase was finding a _ton_ of leaked memory. We recently were able to get a setup and a tool to help track things down and boy did it help. So he stayed up until dawn last night tracking as many as he could down and fixing them. Good news is that the game should be more stable as a result, but it's been delaying this next update with Linux.

We got those taken care of and ran into a few other issues tonight giving us headaches with microsoft update messing things up on our windows machines, and finding other smaller things through testing. Right now I'm _hoping_ for late tomorrow (Wed) after I get home from Work and can help finish off anything that needs done.

Also, out of curiosity does anyone actually run 32-bit linux?

If so, I might need to spend some time trying to throttle the steam linux runtime into working there to get that going. In which case, I don't think I'll hold up a Linux release for that, but would push it out and work on it immediately after.

I'm excited to play it, much so that I'm getting the four pack for my friends even! Can't wait for the Linux version. Thanks for the port!
