+ Just like the first game, the art style gives the game a cute unique look, with many characters and locales from the DC Comics universe being realised here
+ Some gameplay elements (reduced reputation points on repeated words, and a bonus for DC Comics references) encourage you to be more creative with what you should create to solve problems.
- Again, the gameplay is very simple; unless you have little knowledge on the DC Comics universe, which may lead you to struggle through some of the tasks (though the game does provide a big database with all of the necessary knowledge you may need). NPCs randomly attacking you very often in some of the levels was also rather annoying when trying to accomplish some of the side missions
- The game is noticeably shorter than the previous one (around 3 hours for the story, and another 2 hours to get 100%). The way progression is handled is also rather tedious, involving you completing random side missions until you gather enough reputation points; I feel the previous game’s mission structure was much better.
“Not quite as intuitive or fun as before, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure
does still provide an enjoyable experience... just on a smaller scale. The use of DC Comics properties does breathe new life into the series, but also somewhat limits how you can play the game, with some tasks having odd solutions. Still a solid game nonetheless.”
