Main menu drops to 0 fps and is unplayable. Any help?

Hello, I bought Mass Effect 2 deluxe edition when it was on sale a few months ago and just got around to installing it. The problem I am having is that the main menu is lagging very bad. I've tried many things. I've reinstalled it twice, and just verified the intergrity for the 3rd time. All of my drivers are up to date. None of the things that I've found on the web have helped. The opening cinematics run flawlessy, and even the audio for the main menu is fine, it's just the video that lags very bad. Does anyone have any insight or a solution for this problem?

My system specs are: MSI b85i MoBo, Intel Core i3-4330 (Haswell), Gigabyte GTX 660, 8gb of g.skill RAM and Windows 7 Home premium
