I really enjoyed this game!
There are a lot of missed opportunities, but I got a nice introduction to the Dark Eye universe.
I got it for $5.5 and played for ~30 hours (and to be fair I didn't look for a super long challenge, I wanted a game I could finish in less than a week, so I played in easy mode).
The biggest frustration I've had, came from the loading screens. Simply put, any change in location (Map, Street, Battlefield) will have to go through a loading screen. It gets old very quickly.
The character customisation is not necessarily the strongest point of this game, with only one character entirely customisable (the main character), and a few different companions pre-defined, there won't be enough room to craft a custom team.
That being said, I understand that it is better suited for someone new to the genre. Personally I didn't mind it too much.
I enjoyed the introduction to the Dark Eye's universe and while I would probably not play through this game a second time, I got a fair share of entertainment for a very low cost and I am considering getting into the tabletop version.
