The last Battlefield with full destruction
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 holds a special place in my heart. I love Vietnam War movies, games and music and this game just happens to have a Vietnam War expansion pack. It really nails the expansion too. The weapons, the scenarios, maps, music, vehicles...it's all so very well done. The expansion pack is multiplayer only and it's epic!Singleplayer
campaign is pretty "CoD-like" linear most of the time. There are some sandboxy areas but for the most of time it's your simple corridor shooter.
Make no mistake tho, the campaign is very enjoyable. It's not a serious shooter. It has a bunch of good humour in it, fantastic characters, pwetty graphiczzz and a vast variety of locations: deserts, snowy areas and jungles - I love me some jungles and xmas areas, man.
It's about 8 hours long. Nothing special...no replay value, really. But it is fun for what it is and i guess you could go and replay it just for the heck of it.The Multiplayer
is why people play Battlefield. Battlefield used to be a multiplayer only game. The first time it had a singleplayer campaign was back in 2007 in Battlefield: Bad Company. That game is a console exclusive tho.
So this is actually the first Battlefield game that features a singleplayer campaign on the PC Entertainment System.
Multiplayer is just awesome. Everything can be destroyed. Now don't get me wrong, i do love me some BF3 and BF4. I don't hate on them like other "hardcore" Battlefield fans. The hate is childish and quite ignorant to be honest. Nothing wrong with Battlefield 4 (it had a bad launch but it's OK now) and Battlefield 3...nothing bad to say about that game...but back to the point: Bad Company 2 lets you blow up everything! In later BFs you can only blow up certain walls or buildings. In here there's no boundaries!
Blow up trees, blow up houses, blow boats, blow up water...explosion! EXPLOSION! EXPLOSIOONN!!
Khm, as i was saying, the multiplayer is quite fun. Especially epic with friends but you can do very well when playing alone too.
Just like in singleplayer, there are quite a good variety of locations: jungles, forests, xmas, deserts, plain fields. + The Vietnam expansion which adds A LOT to the epicness. Feels like a totally new game.
32v32 player multiplayer, 5 people squads - Lots of shooting going on, lots of explosions, lots of raging.
4 different classes: revive/heal your teammates, give them ammo or bring down tanks by yourself - Teamwork is rewarded. Don't ignore your teams needs...or ignore them. I'm not your daddy and you're a free kiddo. Do whatever you want in this virtual world of ours.Battlefield: Bad Company is worth every single penny. If you're looking for a massive multiplayer game where you could destroy everything you see...man, look no further!
