Has it done this before on Battlefield?

Low fps, black screen, other graphical problems possible solutions:

1)NVidia GPU users: you can try drivers version 353.62, 355.30, 355.60, 361.43, 358

2)Find this file:

Documents/BFBC2/settings.ini -> (open with wordpad or notepad)

Look for this line:
DxVersion=auto

-> change 'auto' to 9, then save file.

2)Try running windows update, and downloading the Security update for Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005.

3) You can also try editing some lines in the settings.ini file to change values to low/false/'0' for what works on your PC.

It's no problem before play BFBC2

If that's not a driver issue then I don't know what it is. Or it could be a general instability of system that has only been revealed by BC2 so far... *shrug*

I've had the same issue on my last 3 PCs. (different mobo, cpu, ram and 1 was a laptop)
The issue seems to be related to Punkbuster/Realtek audio drivers. I haven't bought another BF game since this because I'm worried they will all have the same issue.

9 times out of 10 it's system related.

I too had the BSOD and then I downloaded the most recent Audio driver for my onboard Realtek sound card, The problem went away after that.

So if you haven't yet, Update your Realtek audio drivers to the most recent ones.

If you have any overclocks running, put the overclock back to stock.
