Abnormal FPS Drops
Hello Steam Community, this is kinda one of my last resorts, I have bought this game when it was on sale and was pretty eager to play it. I have played it earlier, but a cracked version. (I was too young and could not afford anything so yeah bare with me on that) I had about 120 hours and it was a lot of fun to play it, I played it with a 8500 GT Graphics card,it was harsh but still playable which is what im looking for.
In the past 2 years Ive had PC issues but now i have returned and upgraded my graphics card to 9800 GT Which could run this game with ease at least on medium. IM not looking for fancy graphics, I just want it to be playable. So yeah I have the latest driver n stuff, I have a Windows 7 64 bit system, and heres the deal I download it and I go to play it and some of the most frustrating turn of events occur to me.
(Most of the times, 95%) I get abnormal frame drops, god forbid I know why...The frames become so bad the game is unplayable, bellow 15,they even go bellow 10 which makes it unplayable.
I have searched the internet looking for awnsers, I have found many but no avail.
Ive messed with the settings.ini to tweak stuff, lowered the game to the absolute lowest it can get, I get the same on any level of settings...The game worked fine (FIne as in playable) with a way worse GPU Than this one...I seriously do not know what to do so I ask the people here for any type of aid...I mean I did buy the game...I guess I should play it lol...
I reinstalled drivers, went back to earlier ones, messed with Nvida Contron Panel...Searched the internet for people that have the same problem and all the solutions that helped them did not help me which bothers me greatly....I hope someone takes the time and reads this and could post an awnser that could lead to the solving of this grevious problem.

Thanks to anyone that helps...In advance..

I play on a laptop with HD 4000 graphics at lowest settings. Runs stable at around 45-50 FPS, with minor drops to about 30 if there are big explosions or in a tank. So, a 9800 GT shouldnt have any problems.

Yeah I dont see the GPU having problems but its just unplayable...Idk maybe the processor...It is getting 100% CPU Usage, and the GPU only 5%...Wierd stuff...

Check your taskmanager to check out what is hogging your cpu.

Some unwanted software can also be causing this.

You should do a malware/spyware checkup.

Gotcha, I will and I'll return with the results, any recommended Antivirus?
Ill prolly try Avira

What is your cpu?
Capt Marvelous Sep 29, 2017 @ 9:45pm
Also do use anything like RTSS (msi afterburner)? Apps that allows you to cap framerates for any game.
Blizryn Sep 30, 2017 @ 2:32am
Yes I use MSI Afterburner and RivaTurner Statistics Server
CPU is AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (My biggest guess right now why this is happening but I STILL dont know)
ChairmanDrew Oct 2, 2017 @ 8:17am
That is a single core CPU. Problem found.
Blizryn Oct 3, 2017 @ 5:22am
Alright so it is the 100% Processor? The only solution would be to get a dual core?
