Interesting, novel, great story. Teslagrad is a great game mired with a few terrible flaws.
The game is almost akin to Super Meat Boy as it is any metroidvania. Which doesn't really do Teslagrad a great service. Any almost mistake is fatal, which can lead to some tense moments, but provides more frustration at times than fun.
Teslagrad does a lot of things right though, a story that's shown instead of told, and great gameplay mechanics. But, exploration is often far more punishing than I felt like it should be. Especially one section with a tree that either needs more checkpoints or a reset button in the game.
You'll find yourself repeating some sections countless times given on how precise your actions will have to be in certain areas.
All that said, Teslagrad is a great game and worth your time and money, I just wish it didn't punish imperfection so hard.
