There is currently no capacity to work on a Linux version. We are mainly focused on bringing the additional promised modes (level editor & hunter mode) as well as game controller support to Steam. Sorry!

Barely related, but i'll ask anyway: how about Mac version?

Same issue: For now we work on the three issues mentioned, afterwards we talk about versions for Mac & Linux.
+1 wish for desktop Linux since it already exists for pocket Linux (Android).

Any update, Nekki? Have you made progress on the three issues mentioned?

Stop torturing yourself with an OS that doesn't run 90% of the games out there and get a real operating system... I swear to god you guys like begging for compatibility...

oh no a random guy in the internet told us to stop and to continue using windows, I guess we will have to do that.
Yes, a Linux/SteamOS-version would be great! :D

The reason I voted for this game on Greenlight was that you said you'd love to make a linux version, too. Still hoping that's going to happen :)

Due to recent updates of Marmalade (engine we used for Vector) we cannot port our game to Linux. There are some solutions in the engine code that don't allow us to make it. Also we've completely lost the ability to run Vector on Windows XP.

But keep a stiff upper lip! We have a really good news for our fans. Vector 2 will use Unity engine. So you can expect it to be released for both Windows and Linux.
