It's a late night, I ned sleep, but instead I'm writing reviews. Why?
Anyway, I'll make it a moderate sized review I guess, TL;DR at the bottom. Instead of going over every detail like other reviews, I'll go over the little nooks and crannies only
, and not in any order, so let's get to it! I have a lot more hours on Door Kickers than it seems, I've played the iPad version a lot and lots of offline hours.
This game is pretty nice on progression to be honest. You have one class (I'll go over the classes in a second} and as your squad "levels" up, you obtain new classes,
until you get all 5 of them. There are also stars
, which you get for completing certain challenges, such as playing the mission using a single plan, or playing without ever pausing in real-life. With stars, you can buy new weapons, armor and pretty much everything else
. Every time your squad levels up, you get doctorine points
. These can be used to teach our squad special tactics, making them more effective.
This game has a nice freaking sheet
ton of replayablity. The AI makes different decisions
and spawn in different preset spots (so they can and will
repeat). There are a ridiculous amount of ways to complete each mission, be it with continuous sync throughout, splitting up to speed it up, or just trying out the best weapons for every situation! Let's not forget that there's a ♥♥♥♥ing mission generator
that ♥♥♥♥♥ out missions for you to play that feel like a normal one! Also the steam workshop is utilized pretty well so you can find lots of maps made by people using the level editor.
The music is alright, but then it just starts turning into some dubstep crap, but if you're fine with a 60 seconds of dubstep or just love it in general, then you'll like it.
These are the gamemodes you'll play
- Clear Hostiles
- Hostage Rescue
- Stop Execution
- Bomb Defusal
- Arrest Warrent
- Dope Raids
- Robbery In Progress
- Some of the above, on a ship or plane or something really cool like that.
YEs, I'm tired, I'd appreciate a like or two pretty please though! I'll work on it very soon!
