If I already have the disc copy of TW and I want to buy KW on Steam, must I buy TW on Steam again?

Retail and steam is different. Unless the game has steamworks like Rage, Skyrim for example, it does not matter where you buy it. Buying retail steamworks game just means you install it instead of downloading. Is there is no steamworks, then yes you have to buy it on steam.

IMHO it is worth rebuying them for steam, the retail versions wont activate via origin (which isn't the best anyway), and i like having digital backups.

You can simply add a non steam game to steam.....problem solved :)

Nope.Not working.My Kane retail DVD edition doesn't detect my C & C 3 Steam copy. I tried to

1) change the folders of C & C 3 Tiberium Wars to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\ where Kane Wraith is installed. DOESN'T WORK. Tried the 1.01 patch doesn't help either

2) change the folders of C &C 3 Kane Wraith C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common . Not working also. Patch 1.01 also dont help

3) added Kane Wraith to Steam. Game still not running because unable to detect C & C 3
