Playing on Windows 8?
I'm trying to play on windows 8. The game won't go past the start screen, and I cannot find a compatibility tab under properties in the file for this game, so I can't fix it. (I was following the instructions pinned here.) Anybody have an idea of what to do? Thanks!

ok, go to wherever your DP is installed, ie your steamapps/common/Deadly Premonition now find and double click on the 'redist' folder, scroll down to the bottom and double click 'PhysX_SystemSoftware' and run the REPAIR option. Now Try!

I tried everything on these forums to fix my startup crash problem, nothing worked untill i did this and fixed my problem,
note : You WILL have to run this repair again if installing new games that use PhysX
