Playing when suddenly I start hearing classical music: "what is this?" "is because I'm on this specific car?" But no, seems that is when you upgrade your license to class B. Is strangely satisfying to destroy the other's vehicles and doing takedowns while listening to classical music.
Cons: - There's no button to go to the previous music track - I didn't play this game before
First things first: If you hate Guns N' Roses in general and Axl Rose's voice in particular, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, you will have a bad time. His raspy voice will be greeting you every time you fire up the game, and there's no way to skip it.
Other minor grievances:
Having to drive all the way to a particular intersection in order to start a specific event gets a little annoying after a while, especially if you just failed said event 5 miles away from the starting position and you want to start over.
This is a lazy console port (thanks as always, EA), and even though there are in-game achievements, they are not Steam achievements. So, no bragging to your Steam friends about your mastery of Burnout Paradise.
Speaking of this being a lazy port, if you want to bring up the options menu, just keep hitting F2 till you get it. The game won't tell you this, you just have to discover it on your own.
Other than that, Burnout Paradise is actually tons of fun. The graphics are quite good for a 2008 release, game physics strikes a great balance between reasonably realistic and not too brutal/unforgiving, and the open world gameplay means that you can switch from one event to another anytime you want, or you can just cruise around and explore, so you never get bored. Definitely recommended if you're a fan of racing games.
