Multiplayer Not Working? Try This, Might Work
Hey guys so I was having some issues connecting online. I've had my Burnout Paradise for awhile now, and have successfully gone online (that was years ago). I finally tried again recently, but was having no luck. Then I thought of something.

I fired up Origin and ran it in the backgroun and I was able to connect online. I don't know if it was a coincedence or what, but if you are having issues, give it a try (I actually was able to use my Steam key for the game, and it was recognized by Origin ... not that I gave it to Origin though,

So yeah try logging into your Origin account. Of course I think my Burnout Paradise account was linked to my old EA account before Origin, but hey give it a try

Hmmm, not sure. It's been awhile since I tried. So I have no clue if this still works

To avoid poor performance during Internet play, be sure that you close any file sharing, streaming audio, or chat programs prior to entering gameplay. These applications can monopolize your connection’s bandwidth, causing lag or other undesirable effects.

This game uses the following TCP and UDP port(s) for Internet play:
TCP 21840 to 21850 (Server)
Outgoing: 1000 (peer-peer), 9615 (game data), 9640 (voip), 21840 to 21850 (Server)
Incoming: 1000 (peer-peer), 9615 (game data), 9640 (voip)

Please consult your router or personal firewall documentation for information on how to allow game related traffic on these ports. If you are attempting to play on a corporate Internet connection, contact your network administrator.
