weapon lock glitch?

I played Artemis for the first time tonight. I played several different stations, but I ran into a major problem with Weapons - I lost the ability to lock on! At first, I was able to get the red crosshair to appear on enemy ships, but then it just... stopped working for me. I would click desperately on red ships that were close enough that they were firing on us, but instead of locking on I would just see a pulsating white circle where I'd clicked. It happened first on my iPad, but then it happened again after I switched to someone else's PC. What was I doing wrong?

Perhaps operator error. I fly solo many times and man all stations. at times due to the HELMS and the WEAPONS very very VERY similar interface i go to click lock on and it turns out im in the HELMS and forgot to switch to Weapons... :) Hope that helps and if ur looking for a crew join the JungC[jungfahacorporation.com].
