Some sort of problem with controls
I just tried out this game and was dissapointed when the little dot that is your player started randomly teleporting to different locations without input. I thaught maybe my mouse was intefering somehow so i unplugged it and went pure controller. Still randomly moves the dot without my input. Very dissorientating Is anyone else experiencing this? I cant really expect to be any good at the game when i die constantly because i lose track f the dot.

Hmm, not sure on this one. If you have a laptop, try turning off the touchpad. And if you have a drawing tablet, maybe unplug that? I hope this problem sorts itself out!

I have a desktop.. I have a 360 controller for windows, and I have tried it plugged, unplugged, tried with the mouse, and keyboard. Restarted steam, verified game integrity, tried windowed mode, fullscreen... Nothin..
Even when the controller is completely removed from the pc, upon loading the game it says controller connected. Then it constantly sounds like the controls are pressing up+left (which it IS doing, as when you try to choose a level, it constanly goes up to the top of the list) and then as the OP stated, the dot warps all over the place. (also.. the controller doesn't work at all)

It is almost as if a controller was being pressed when it was turned off and then the game was started, like on a console. Except the controller doesn't even need to be connected for this to happen here.

I also know that some games happen to hate being installed on either an external drive, or a drive larger than 2 TB, so I reinstalled on my main 500 gb drive and it didn't change anything.

Hmm. I've had controller issues exactly as you've described, where it's like a ghost controller is being held up and left. The solution was to turn off bluetooth receivers/controllers on the system. Happened to me with lots of games, on XP and Win7. Hopefully that solves it!

I don't have bluetooth capabilities, so I don't think that would be the problem atm.. It is Win7 though. Tried disabling the controllers for the xbox controller, but that didn't do anything either.. -insert sad clown-

Still can't get this to work. Kinda wish I could play the game.

Try this: Unplug your controller, start the game, then plug controller in. It's the opposite of what works for most games, but I've had that work before on different software.

Reposting from another thread: If any of you guys are actually still interested in playing the game, one of the updates added the ability to disable the search for controllers on startup, and that fixed the problem for me. Just press "c" at the main menu!
