Game quit/resume cheat (that needs fixing)
While playing a single player game if one of the AI is doing well on their turn, quit the game then resume it and they will have to restart their turn.

This also happens in online games, if an online player leaves the game the turn in progress restarts when the game continues. (Very annoying if you've just rolled well)

When you quit/leave the game it would be better if the game waited until the end of the current turn first rather than halfway through the turn causing it to restart and ruin the current turn (or cheat)

Maybe this would help the online crashes (when somebody quits mid-turn)

This.

I'm sick of cheaters getting a bad turn, quitting and rentering the game to restart that turn.

I thought this was fixed for AI games because the dice rolls are now not re-seeded upon restart. So the same dice roll will come up when the AI rolls for movement, so the AI will go to the same place, etc.

I can't speak for online games because I've never had someone quit mid game.

The reason it can be abused online is that the dice rolls are not reseeded, and thus if a player has different options for what he can do, he can then select the action where the dice roll is most beneficial/least harmful.

Exactly. Dice rolls aren't reseeded, so if the player quits (restarts turn) then comes back before the AI plays that turn, he can come back and select the (possibly) better outcome between options.

By not reseeding die rolls, this problem was fixed. If you play someone online and they cheat to abuse the new system, then block them and don't play with them in the future.

An easy fix would be, like other games do, that if someone quits there's a timer that doesn't allow him right back in.
Of course it's a problem as long as the game isn't stable, because this has also to be for Alt-F4-ing/crashing a game.

Can you block players in the game?

Or do you mean block via steam? If it's the latter I don't think that prevents them from popping into your lobby.

I meant block people via Steam. Guess I don't know if that prevents them from getting into your games, it was an assumption based on other online games. Maybe if that doesn't work, keep a separate blacklist and/or whitelist.

I'm doing it old-school... pen and paper list of rage quitters :berserk:
