House Rules as Default?
My apologies if this has been asked before or if there is already an answer on the forum. I looked, but had no success.

Is there a way to save your choice of house rules as the default option for offline games? I prefer to play with hidden endings and would rather not have to go in and set that every time.

After all, it would be a pain to go through an entire game thinking that the Ice Queen is a possibility, taking the extra time to build stats accordingly (even though you got, say, the gnome about five turns into the game) only to get to the CoC and find that there is no Ice Queen, no Crown and Scepter, no Danse Macabre...just you, a bunch of overblown stats and a Crown that works half the time on a good day. Not that such a thing happened to me....it was a friend...yeah...that's it...a friend....

To answer your first question, no, there is no way to currently save rules preferences, but it would be nice.

As for your second point, it sounds like you want control over what endings will be in the pool. Sorry, but each ending is always a possibility. The only restriction is that some (with sun icons) can't be played hidden.

I don't think it would be a good idea to control what endings are in the pool (again because players will have to go through a big long list to make sure they like the selection) but maybe the choice to select one specific ending can be implemented.

Beyond what expansions you've chosen to include or not, it definitely does not remember house rules between activations.

My apologies for creating a misunderstanding. I don't want any specific ending, which is why I like the hidden endings house rule. What happened is I played assuming that there could be a number of potential endings. In reality, there was only one because I had neglected to set the house rule (which is, of course, my own fault). I was just hoping that there was a way for the game to help me from making the same mistake again, but it sounds that at this time there isn't.

Old post, but wanted to revive this idea of saving House Rules selected during 'create game' phase as game defaults. It looks like 'Runestones' selection is saved, but not any other rule below that. Selecting which expansion packs to activate are currently saved as defaults, just not most House Rules.

It looks like when you at least win a game, the rules you had set will be automatically selected for the next game you set up. But, if you quit a game you just created and then start to set up a new one, then the previous rules aren't saved.

I'd also like a way to save my house rules preferences. The whole 'winning' thing doesn't work for me since I tend to play solo against three bots, and sometimes a run of bad luck for me/good luck for them means I'm not gonna continue the game. Not that I would rage quite, oh no......
