Grim Reaper (roll die 1) vs Rsuurection Spell
Does the grim reaper (if you roll 1 die to lose all your lives) override any attempt to save your character with a ressurectiom spell?

Resurrection spell
Cast after a character kills an Enemy during an attack.
The attack is considered a stand-off and the Enemy remains on the space.

It can't be cast on you, since you're not an Enemy, and it isn't an attack neither, nor is Grim Reaper a character.

I see. There's a very good discussion about it here
https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/85790-restoration-spell-vs-the-reaper/

Healing spell definitely can't save you. The healing can't happen when you're dead, it happens before - so it will heal you say of 4 lives, and then Grim Reaper takes them all anyway.

But for Restoration it's different, since the text says "prevent 1 life from being lost" ; if it's cast right during the Grim Reaper, as I understand it pedantically, you should still have 1 life (it takes all your lives e.g. 4 ; but out of the 4 lives taken, Restoration prevents 1).

That's how i would play it if I were to play the physical board. Now I don't know how it's implemented exactly..

I played when i rolled a 1 dice for the grim reaper on a reroll so before i clkick ok i had the option to click on restoration but to no avail

So i died and lost the game
Like i said, you are supposed to lose all your lives, there is nothing you can do about it.

Interesting - on the wording of Phoenix Potion it should work - Reaper takes all your lives, as he takes last life, Phoenix potion replenishes you to original lives.

i see it as a very simple effect and trigger clause

rule states you can not cast a spell until there is a valid target

spell restoration trigger is losing and can not cast the resoration spell till the trigger effect has or will appen,

game rules say you can not cast a spell with out a valid target so you cant cast restoration until the loss of life happens/trigger point to cast the spell

example i will use the reaper

reaper lose all lives - (can be one life can be 100 lives amount is irrelevent)
Effect : Lose of all remaining lives
Trigger: this activates the ability to cast resotation as the trigger of lose of life is now active for the spell to be legally cast (prior to this lose of life the spell can not be cast)

rule book states a spell can not be cast without an effect

Restoration can now be successfully cast : Prevent the loss of one life,

In summery
the EFFECT " lose all lives" Triggers the spell to have a target and now after the successful cast of restoration the EFFECT is now lose all lives but 1,

The END EFFECT after both EFFECTS are solved, repaer lose all lives, and the restoration, Prevent the loss on one life, the result should be staying on 1 life.

Death don't listen to rules, baby.
