Greetings everyone.

It's often hard to keep you folks up to date with what we're currently working on, mostly because were focused on the tasks at hand, we tend to neglect keeping you informed until we have put together a concrete update.

In the interests of improving this, we've decided to make a general thread where we'll visit and post a small bit of info about what we're working on each day, if we can.

So feel free to check in whenever you're wondering what's happening or why the next update is taking so long.

Update: We're now posting updates about the UE4 port and other things we're up to in a new thread. Be sure to check it out!

As a side note: Please avoid asking when the next update is coming, or spamming us with old posts from other threads or complaints/errors, or general "New Ideas" because we DO read them elsewhere and have probably seen it, or will see it, we just don't reply to everything. So yeah, keep it clean if you can, thanks.

Today I'm working on adding new game play mechanics for the up-coming robototics level.

Possibly also a Steam guide for making VCD levels with the editor.

Yes, finally!

For my part, so far today(and for a couple of days prior) I've been doing the achievement graphics for Rooks Keep. Those will be done today, so I will then continue onto the Robotics map.
On the agenda today, and probably the next few days: Rooks Keep achievement testing, all 27 of them!
This'll involve a lot of fun repetition, and some of these achievements are hard to get.

If all goes according to plan, Rooks Keep should soon be released good and proper. ] :)

Once that's done, it'll be VCD full time once more.

Right, so yesterday didn't see much game-work. Admin stuff, and preparing prototypes and builds we have for a local exhibition coming up on the weekend.

However, today I'll announce our intent to increase the price of VCD a small amount, and get back to finishing the new map. Our new update will probably be out next week. Other than that, I'll see if I can get some pics of the new map improving as I go *nods*
Working on creating a Guide for Viscera Cleanup level creation.

It won't feature anything related to standard Unreal Engine 3 level creation, only the VCD side of things.

Let me know if there is anything you'd specifically like to know how to put in a VCD level.
Working on textures and minor meshes for the new map. Also designing and starting some of the trading cards and associated assets (badges, etc)
Hope to get in lights, flares and those kinds of things for the map as well.

And finally, made a list of sounds I want to add for a general audio pass of VCD. This includes mostly impacts for various props. Diversify!

No! Now I have more competition in guide-land!
Today I must get a bit of work done on a prototype for the exhibition on the weekend and continue with the trading card artwork for VCD.
The new map is starting to come together nicely, but there are still a bunch of smaller details that need to be done. Things like chairs, computers, screens signage and so forth.
Right, a few days distractions aside, we're back on cleanup detail! I'll be preparing the build once BlackEagle has finished a feature or two that are nearly done. And more work on the new map, which is coming along well.
Working on improving the way notes are handled when picked up.

Hope to have that working and releasable ASAP.
Thank goodness. Handling notes always ends up becoming a pain in the rear eventually. In a rather unnecessary fashion.
Yeah, the note handling is pretty cool now. It'll be in the update in a day or so :)
Have you seen the latest bug report I put up regarding the screens in Cryogenesis btw, @ShadowBlade?

Yep, fixed it.

Today I'll be doing various fixes and improvements to bring VCD closer to its final feel.
This will mostly include adding small things that make the world feel more alive, or smooth out things that seem too slapped together or unexplored.
