Vanishing Shard

So I grabbed the shard as I was told and flew to the next screen... where a prompt told me to release the shard. Which I don't appear to have. Am I missing something, or is this is a bug? I've tried going back to the previous screen but there are rocks stopping me from going very far. First time this happened I reset the game but it happened again...

I'm having the same problem. No idea what to do. I've just been amusing myself by flying back and fourth between the two screen which apears to respawn the silvers. I'm assuming this is a bug

My current working theory is that it just isn't saving anything. when I save and quit and then come back it starts me off from the beginning again and that would explain the respawning silvers and the dissapearing shard. The area before doesn't get saved which is why the rocks are there blocking your path backwards and because the game deosn't know you have completed the shard it no longer exists. I have gone past where you need to place the first shard and am now locked in a cave as the door that opened it in the last area is now closed behind me. This game looked really cool but I think im done with it. with this and ther resolution problems I just don't have time to fiddle.
